Dear Mr Yip,
Request for the District Council Constituency Boundaries
I refer to your email of 7 November 2022 to the Registration and
Electoral Office (“REO”) requesting the shapefile of 2003 District Council
Ordinary Election constituency boundaries. The REO has referred your
request to the Electoral Affairs Commission (“EAC”).
Under section 4(a) of the Electoral Affairs Commission Ordinance
(Cap. 541), one of the functions of the EAC is to consider or review the
boundaries of District Council constituencies for the purpose of making
recommendations on the boundaries and names of constituencies for a
District Council ordinary election.
The shapefile of 2003 District Council Ordinary Election
constituency boundaries is attached. Please comply with the terms and
conditions at the
Annex upon use of the shapefile.
You may wish to note that the shapefile only shows the constituency
boundaries but not other digital data such as the topographic map database
and digital land boundary database. If you need such information, please

contact the Land Information Centre of Lands Department with details as
follows:
