Arrest/conviction/prosecution data for the Police Force

Scott Edmunds made this Freedom of Information request to Hong Kong Police Force Information Systems Wing

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Hong Kong Police Force Information Systems Wing should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Hong Kong Police Force Information Systems Wing,

I would like to access Police statistics on how many refugees (non-refoulement claimants) have been arrested for criminal offences? Yearly statistics would be great, going back to 2005 if you have it.

Do you also have statistics on prosecutions and convictions from these arrest, and general arrests rates as compared to prosecution rates and conviction rates from your region? Or the wider police force if you don't have these.

As your department has members conducting research , it would be great to access some of these statistics. As this request is by digital means, if you haven't sorted it to this level of granularity is OK, any data you can attach is useful and I can analyse it myself.

Yours faithfully,

Scott Edmunds, PhD
