Deeper and wider use of data on e-health

We're waiting for Sunny SHU to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Food and Health Bureau,

This is a student study group from Baptist University taking a General Education course for undergraduates in which students investigate various government policies and projects. Our team is doing a project related to the health management function in e-Health application.

As a concerned citizen of Hong Kong and due to the needs of our university research,. I'm writing to ask the following questions about e-health app(医健通)under the Code on Access to Information.

1.Do the eHealth system and app collect patients’ feedback? If so, in what ways do the eHealth system and app collect the feedback?

Referring to a 2007 study on automated review of electronic health records to assess quality of care for outpatients with heart failure(https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/full/10....), it seems feasible to assess doctors’ performance through automatic review of eHealth records.

1.How does the government assess doctors’ performance when treating heart failure patients regarding the issues addressed in the study?

2.Are there eHealth records available that can facilitate automatic review of doctors’ performance similar to the 2007 study?

3.Does the eHealth team plan to develop the function of automatic review of doctors’ performance based on eHealth records?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Sunny SHU
