Dear Immigration Department,

I am writing to make a data access request regarding immigration detainees held in Ma Tau Kok Detention Centre (MTKDC). May I know, in 2021: 

A) The yearly admittance to MTKDC, broken down by: 
i) gender (male, female, transgender) 
ii) nationality (please specify each country) 
iii) age or age groups 
iv) immigration status (including non-refoulement claimants, overstayers, persons refused entry, and other categories as applicable) 

B) The yearly release from MTKDC 

C) The average daily population in MTKDC 

If the information could be provided in a CSV or Excel format, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much for your help.

detainees to the MTKDC from September to December 2021.  The Immigration
Department (“ImmD”) does not maintain the number of admissions of
