Dear Civil Engineering and Development Department,

I would like to make a request for the shapefiles (.shp) of solid and superficial geology maps of Hong Kong, as shown in the following links:

Although the requested data has been made public in the form of interactive online maps, it is not easy to use the data on a GIS platform nor to replot the data in vectorized files (i.e., shapefiles) because there are extensive details in the maps, particularly the superficial map. Making the shapefiles of the solid and superficial geology maps public will benefit the community of geological hazard mitigation.
