Haunted house transaction records
Dear Land Registry,
Can I have an access to the transaction records of haunted houses (such as suicide or murder ever happened in the residences) in Hong Kong for the past 20 years? Details needed such as the property's location, the transaction date and the amount of money involved. It would be better if you can also give the reasons why it became a haunted house.
Yours faithfully,
Jasmine ZHOU
Dear Ms ZHOU,
I refer to your application for access to information of 5 Oct 2017
concerning the transaction records of haunted houses.
Under the Land Registration Ordinance (Cap.128), the Land Registry is a
public office responsible for registration of instruments affecting land
and provision of land records for public inspection upon payment for the
prescribed fees.
Please be informed that we do not possess the requested records for
haunted houses. Besides, it is not within our work purview to maintain a
register of the information for haunted houses as such information is not
required in performing our statutory duty.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 2867 2707.
Your sincerely,
(Ms Eva LAU)
