Hospital Admission or Clinic Outpatient Data by Sickness
Dear Department of Health,
Thanks for your attention. I have been studying the publicized data on the Centre for Health Protection website, but I cannot find the information that I am looking for. I am writing to ask if you could kindly provide the data of:
1. Hospital Admission numbers,
2. Hospital Outpatient numbers and
3. Clinic Outpatient numbers;
breakdown by time (daily or the finest time granularity that you have) in preferably csv/xml format, for the following sicknesses:
1. Heat Stroke (中暑)
2. Flu and cold
3. Eczema (濕疹)
4. Allergies - preferably mold and pollen
5. Fungal infections
6. Miliaria (熱痱)
Secondly (on a general note), riding on the list of infectious diseases listed in https://www.chp.gov.hk/en/statistics/sub..., are there any initiatives from the Department of Health to:
1. expose data on API services,
2. include a finer time-granularity set of data and
3. include more sicknesses, such as the ones above?
Should you need any clarifications, please let me know. Looking forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
Yu-Xi Chau

Dear Chau Yu-Xi,
Thank you for your email of 9 April 2019.
The Department of Health ("DH") does not have statistics on hospital
admissions number, hospital and clinic outpatient numbers with breakdown
by time and disease.
Regarding infectious diseases, DH has established a series of surveillance
systems to monitor the trends of various infectious diseases in the
community. The data are available on the websites of the Centre for
Health Protection of DH as well as the DATA.GOV.HK website
([1]https://data.gov.hk/en-datasets/provider...).
In general, DH will continue to explore ways to enhance the accessibility
of our data.
