Dear Immigration Department,

I am writing to make an information request regarding immigration detainees with minor dependents. May I know,

1) In the case where the sole adult carer of a minor dependent is detained, are there any measures to provide care for the child?
2) In what circumstances, if any, could a minor dependent be taken into detention with their adult carer?
3) In the case where a minor dependent is held in detention with their adult carer, are there child-specific procedures or guidelines for the treatment and care of child detainees? If yes, would you be able to provide these procedures or guidelines?

Any relevant information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help.

Yours faithfully,

Raquel Amador
