September 2020, we hereby provide you the following information:-
Item 1
The number of establishment and strength of Immigration Officer (IO)
grade as at 1 September 2020 is 2,450 (including one supernumerary
Assistant Director post) and 2,250 respectively. The Immigration
Department does not maintain statistics on the number of staff acting in
higher rank of all ranks in the Immigration Officer (IO) grade.
Item 2
The Immigration Department does not maintain statistics on promotees'
period of acting.
