Dear Lands Department,

Do you have mapping data or coordinates/shapefiles for where zoned/registered agricultural land is in Hong Kong? I'm also looking for mapping data on rivers/streams and waste disposal sites are as well, so do you have maps/shapefiles/coordinates for these?

Yours faithfully,

Dear Lands Department,

Thanks for getting back to me. Shame you don't have zoning data, but to get hold of map shapefiles covering all the rivers/streams in Hong Kong which maps do I need to request and how much does this cost? If this is for academic research in a UGC (HK tax payer) funded institution is there a waiver for this cost, and as other countries such as the UK provide this data for free what does the Lands Department do with this data?

Yours faithfully,

Scott Edmunds
