domestic household numbers, of Major Housing Estates for the Year 2011
made under the Code on Access to Information on 13 May 2018.

2.        Regarding your enquiry, the statistics of major housing estates
for 2011 can be obtained by “Build Your Census Tables” through the
Interactive Data Dissemination Service (IDDS) on the 2016 Population
By-census website (Link :
[1]https://www.bycensus2016.gov.hk/en/bc-ow...) by following the
steps below:  

        In the panel on the left hand side, you may choose:

        Step 1. “Statistics”-> “Population”-> “Population (Number of
Persons)”;
        Step 2. “Classifications” -> “Geographical Characteristics” ->
“Major Housing Estate”.

        Then, you need to change the major housing estate to be for year
2011 instead of 2016, by selecting:

        Step 3. “Major Housing Estate – 511 Groups (2016)” under “Table
definition” -> “Available items or Other Grouping(s)” -> “Major Housing
Estate – 487 Groups (2011)”;
        Step 4. “Back” to the main panel -> “OK”

        You may also select more than one interested statistics, such as
number of domestic households, by repeating step 1.

3.        The table of population and number of domestic households by
major housing estate for 2011 compiled by IDDS is enclosed for your
reference.

Dear Census and Statistics Department,

I am looking for the Total Population Numbers and Total Domestic Household
Numbers of Major Housing Estates for the Year 2011 without having to
download each individual excel sheet. I know It is possible to reach the
data through Interactive Map. However, the Build Your Own Tables 2011
feature directs the user to the one for 2016, in which the previous years
are not available for certain data types, including Major Estates etc,
which consequently force the users to download over 250 files and copy
past each data individually.

I would really appreciate if you help me regarding this issue.
