        I refer to your request for age data in geographical details made
under the Code on Access to Information on 16 Mar 2017.

2.        Regarding your enquiry, the tables of population by age group
and geographical demarcations, including District Council districts,
District Council Constituency Areas, Large Tertiary Planning Unit Groups,
Small Tertiary Planning Unit Groups, Large Street Block Groups, New Town
and Major housing estates, can be obtained through the Interactive Data
Dissemination Service (IDDS) on the website of the 2011 Population Census
([1]http://www.census2011.gov.hk/en/build-yo...).  IDDS
provides a large number of figures and variables based on the results of
the 2001, 2006 and 2011 Population Census/By-census.  Through the online
platform, users can select the required variables and create tables
according to their own needs.  However, the required information by Small
Street Block Group is not available.  

3.        Moreover, summary results of the 2016 Population By-census
(16BC) were announced on 27 February 2017.  Detailed results of the 16BC
will be released on the 16BC website ([2]http://www.bycensus2016.gov.hk)
by phases this year.  Statistics by geographical region such as District
Council district, Constituency Area and Tertiary Planning Unit Group will
tentatively be released in mid-2017, while statistics by major housing
estate will tentatively be released by end of 2017.
