Request for company information
Dear Companies Registry,
I would like to request, under the Code on Access to Information, information held on the company named Bauhaus Science Press Co. Ltd. that has Companies Registry number: 2023941.
I will happily accept electronic format copies of the 5 files that seem to be held by Companies Register - they do not need to have special certification from your department.
I do realise that it is customary for your department to charge for access to these documents - a total of HKD$79 would normally be charged for these 5 documents according to the icris.cr.gov.hk website. However, as I am requesting them under the Code on Access to Information, I would expect any demand for payment to be rationalised using the terms and conditions of the Code.

I would like to draw your attention to the following term of the Code on
Access to Information (Code) ([1]http://www.access.gov.hk/) :
"1.14 The Code does not oblige departments to -
* acquire information not in their possession
* create a record which does not exist
* provide on request information which is already published, either free
or at a charge, or
* provide information available through an existing charged service.
In these circumstances, an applicant for information will, where possible,
be directed to the appropriate source of the information."
As the information requested is already published and available through
the Cyber Search Centre of the Companies Registry at
[2]www.icris.cr.gov.hk, please visit the Cyber Search Centre to obtain
information in the Companies Register and image records of documents
registered and kept by the Registrar of Companies.
