Dear Social Welfare Department,

I would be grateful if you could provide information as to the number of minor children who have sought services from the SWD, or had such services sought on their behalf, between 2014-2018, and who do not have either (i) valid Hong Kong Identity Documents, (ii) official travel documents establishing lawful immigration status in Hong Kong at the time of seeking such services, or are dependent children of an adult who does not have either (i) or (ii).

            Thank you for your email dated 6 June 2019, seeking access
to the  number of minor children who have sought services from the SWD,
or had such services sought on their behalf, between 2014-2018, and who do
not have either (i) valid Hong Kong Identity Documents, (ii) official
travel documents establishing lawful immigration status in Hong Kong at
the time of seeking such services, or are dependent children of an adult
who does not have either (i) or (ii). Subsequent to our interim reply on
14 June 2019, please find the requested information below.

 

            The number of minor children who have sought services from the
Social Welfare Department (“SWD”):

below 16) and community services order (CSO) scheme (minor children
