Dear Census and Statistics Department,

I am in search of data on the number of single income households and double income households by district (not single parents data). I couldn't find these data in the existing public C&SD database / reports, but it seems like there could be such data available from what I see in the request another person has made below.

Dear Yoori,

I refer to your request for statistics of single/double income households
by district on 30 June 2022.

According to your request, the following statistical table can be
specifically compiled for you from the results of the General Household
Survey (GHS).  GHS is a continuous sample survey to collect information on
the labour force, employment, unemployment and underemployment, as well as
the demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population.  The
technical details of the survey could be found in the survey report
"Quarterly Report on General Household Survey"

-        Number of domestic households with employed parent(s) living
with own child(ren) aged below 18 by District Council district and number
of employed parent(s), 2021

The template of the statistical table is attached below and for your
reference, please.
       
The corresponding charge for the abovementioned table is HK$304.3.  Please
confirm your order and arrange for payment of the above charge should you
decide to acquire the statistical table.

To proceed with your data request, you are required to settle the charge
by one of the following methods.

(1)        By ATM, FPS, PPS, internet banking or other payment methods as
specified by The Treasury
Please fill in the attached form “Request for issue of General Demand
Note” and return it to us by email.  You will then receive a General
Demand Note via email.  Please pay the bill within 14 days from the issue
date of the demand note.  For the guidelines of payment methods and
procedures, please refer to “Payment Instructions” given in the demand
note, or visit the website of the Treasury

Please note that:
(i)         NO receipt will be issued if the charge is settled by this
method; and
(ii) the payment has to be settled in Hong Kong dollars.

must not be used for re-dissemination.  However, you may include the
customised statistics that you have obtained from the Census and
Statistics Department (with the source properly acknowledged), in
publication, paper or any other materials which you prepare for academic
and educational purposes.  In case the customised statistics are used for
commercial purposes, the statistics quoted should only constitute an
insignificant portion of your piece of work and have no direct influence
on any profit and income arising therefrom; if otherwise, please further
consult us.
