Dear Security Bureau,
Please would you provide statistics on the number of TIP screenings conducted in Q4 of 2020 and a breakdown of the screenings by Customs and Excise Department, Immigration Department, Labour Department, and the Police respectively?
Further, out of the TIP screenings conducted in Q4 of 2020, how many:
(a) TIP victims were identified?
(b) TIP screenings were referred to the Department of Justice for legal advice or opinion?
(c) TIP screenings proceeded to a Tier 2 full debriefing?

Dear Charlie,
Total of 6 912 initial screenings were conducted in 2020 with 3 victims
identified, the breakdown by departments is as follows -
2020
Hong Kong Police Force 1 349
Immigration Department 3 504
Customs and Excise Department 204
Labour Department 1 855
Total 6 912
Of the 3 identified victims, Tier 2 full debriefing has been conducted for
all subjects.
We do not have the statistical breakdown of other figures requested.
