TPU Level Data for Year 2011

The request was partially successful.

Dear Census and Statistics Department,

I am looking for the Tertiary Planning Unit Data of Year 2011 without having to download individual excel sheet. For instance, I need the Median Monthly Household Income for all the TPU, but I currently need to download each of TPU and copy-paste the relevant data one by one. I read in the past requests, It is possible to reach the data through Interactive Map. However, the Build Your Own Tables 2011 feature directs the user to the one for 2016, in which the previous years are not available for certain data types - e.g. TPUs, Major Estates etc.

I would really appreciate if you help me regarding this issue.

Regards,

Emre Erol

Dear Emre,

I refer to your request for median monthly domestic household income made
under the Code on Access to Information on 20 Mar 2018.

Regarding your enquiry, we would like to clarify that some of the figures
available in the fact sheets of TPUs in the 2011 Population Census (11C),
such as median monthly household income, were not available in the
Interactive Data Dissemination Service of 11C.  Besides, we regret that an
individual excel file containing all the figures available in the fact
sheets of TPUs in 11C are not readily available.  Nevertheless, the median
monthly domestic household income by Small TPU Group based on 11C results
are specially tabulated for your reference (see Table 1).

Table 1 : Median monthly domestic household income by Small Tertiary
Planning Unit Group (STPUG), 2011

Please note that individual TPUs with less than 1 000 persons were merged
with adjacent TPU(s) to form the STPUGs in disseminating census statistics
owing to data precision concern.  Please also note that as the boundaries
of each TPU were re-demarcated for each round of population census /
by-census, the TPUs adopted in different rounds of population
census/by-census might not aligned with each other.

Should you have any questions about population census / by-census, please
feel free to contact Demographic Statistics Section (2) of this department
(Enquiry service: (852) 3903 6944; Facsimile: (852) 2716 0231; E-mail:
