Application for Access to Information
Thank you for your application for access to information on
23 March 2021 regarding the GPS coordinates of private moorings in Hong
Kong Waters. Subsequent to our first interim reply on 1 April 2021 and
second interim reply on 12 April 2021, I am writing to give you a reply as
follows.
Please be advised that the application involves 44 records search
(i.e. 44 private mooring areas
1 consisting of GPS coordinates for 1,894 private
moorings). The requested information would be released upon payment of the
prescribed fees
2, pursuant to Item 7 of Thirteenth Schedule of Shipping and
Port Control Regulations (Cap. 313A). We will inform you of the amount of
fees after verification as soon as possible.

2 Pursuant to paragraph 1.24 of the Code on Access to Information, since processing requests for
information utilise resources, departments may require payment for this service. The information will
not be released until the requisite payment has been made.
