Dear Access to Information Officer,
Pursuant to the Code on Access to Information, I am writing to request statistical data regarding recruitment pipelines, tertiary screening drives, and youth engagement programs operated by the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF).
I would be grateful if you could provide the following aggregated statistical figures covering the past five financial years (2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25, and 2025/26):
1. Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS) & Auxiliary Transition
1.1 AUS Enrolment: The annual total number of university undergraduates enrolled in and passing out from the Auxiliary Undergraduate Scheme (AUS).
1.2 Full-Time Conversion: The total number of active Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Officers (including AUS graduates) who successfully applied for and transitioned into full-time, regular force positions as (a) Probationary Inspectors or (b) Police Constables upon graduation or during their service.
2. Leadership Institute on Narcotics (L.I.O.N.)
2.1 Program Participation: The annual headcount of secondary and university students participating in youth leadership activities under L.I.O.N.
3. Overall Recruitment Baseline for Comparison
3.1 Total Force Intakes: The total annual intake of Probationary Inspectors and Police Constables force-wide, to enable comparative evaluation against the intake volume originating from PURE, PMP, SPREAD, and AUS.
I confirm that this request is made in good faith. Should any portion of this request require clarification, or if the requested statistical data is held in a slightly different aggregated format, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at [email address].
Thank you very much for your time and assistance.
Yours faithfully,
