Dear Hong Kong Police Force Administration Wing,

It has come to my attention that the Highways Dept. filed a report on 16 July regarding the unauthorised felling of the large tree near 29 Lugard Road. Regarding this specific case/report, and pursuant to the Code on Access to Information, I would appreciate your provision of the following–

1. The report or case reference number assigned
2. The official classification of the case (e.g., Criminal Damage under Cap. 200, Theft under Cap. 210, Miscellaneous Inquiry, or other statutory offence classification)
3. The specific Police District or Operational Division currently handling or overseeing the case/file
4. The present procedural status of the case (e.g., active investigation, investigation concluded, case closed, etc.)
5. Any notes as to whether prosecution will proceed in this case, and if so any more details you can provide

A kind reminder that I am strictly seeking administrative details and case identifiers as above and not any private particulars or operational witness statements or other personal information. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Yours faithfully,

James A. Wilson
