Dear Access to Information Officer,

I am making this request to the Education Bureau under the Code on Access to Information.

As the requested information concerns science curriculum development, I would be grateful if this request could be referred internally to the Science Education Section and processed in consultation with the Chief Curriculum Development Officer (Science).

Please provide the following existing records, documents and data held by the Education Bureau.

1. Curriculum vision and guidance
Please provide any existing documents setting out the Education Bureau’s or Science Education Section’s vision and objectives for integrating artificial intelligence into the science curriculum.

Please provide any guidelines, selection criteria or recommended lists concerning:
the use of AI in science teaching;
the knowledge and skills teachers are expected to acquire;
suitable AI-related training courses or course providers; and
recommended teaching resources.

2. Teaching resources and videos
Please state whether participating schools are required to submit teaching examples, lesson plans, resource packages or teaching videos to the Education Bureau, and provide any relevant submission requirements.

Please provide:
a list of such materials held by the Education Bureau or the Science Education Section;
copies of the materials or direct links to them; and
any existing records concerning whether they will be published on the Education Bureau’s website, Hong Kong Education City, YouTube or another platform.
If the Bureau does not hold these materials, please identify, where recorded, the organisation responsible for retaining them.

3. Open lessons, evaluation and sustained impact
Please provide any records identifying:

the intended audiences and objectives of the open lessons or classroom demonstrations; and
the indicators or criteria used to assess their quality, reach and impact.
Please provide any evaluation results or follow-up records concerning:
attendance and participant feedback;
subsequent adoption or reuse of the teaching methods and resources;
continued use after the funding period; and
the sustained impact of the training courses, teaching resources and open lessons.
If the Bureau records only whether these activities or materials were completed, but does not assess their quality, use or sustained impact, please state this explicitly.

This request seeks existing records and information held by the Education Bureau. It does not require any officer to create a new record or provide a personal opinion.

Where any requested information is already publicly available, please provide a direct link to the specific document, resource or video. If access to any information is refused, please identify the applicable provision of the Code on Access to Information and provide the reasons for refusal.

Thank you for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Xu Haoze
