GPS coordinates of private moorings in Hong Kong Waters 
 
 
Further to our reply on 12 May 2021, I would like to inform you of 
the fees involved as follows: 
 
 
As  mentioned  in  the  above  letter,  the  information  requested  under 
the application would be released to you upon payment of the prescribed fees.1   
The prescribed fees for search in records and provision of copy of document(s) 
are provided under item 7 of the Thirteenth Schedule  to the Shipping and Port 
Control Regulations (Cap. 313A) as follows:

The  application  would  involve 44  searches  (i.e.  44  private  mooring 
areas 2   consisting  of  GPS  coordinates  for  1,894  private  moorings).    In 
accordance with item 7 of the Thirteenth Schedule to Cap. 313A, the fee for the 
searches is therefore HK$5,500 (i.e. HK$125 x 44 searches).    Soft copy of the 
search  records  can  be  provided  free  of  charge.    However,  if  you  require  a 
certified copy of  the record under each search, the additional fee is HK$7,040 
(i.e. HK$160 x  44 certified copy  documents).    If uncertified copy is required, 
the additional fee is HK$729 (i.e. HK$9 x 81 uncertified copy documents).     
 
 
We would be grateful if you could  (i) confirm whether you wish to 
proceed  with  the  application;  and  (ii)  if  affirmative,  advise  us  whether  you 
would require soft copy, any certified and/or uncertified copy of the information 
requested.    Please contact Eric Cheng, Departmental Access Clerk, via email at 
[email protected]  to  confirm.    Upon  receiving  your  reply,  we  will 
issue a demand note to you for payment.    In case you will be making payment 
overseas, please  let  us  know  so  that  we  will  issue  a  demand  note  for  overseas 
payment  to  you.    The  information  will  then  be  released  upon  receipt  of 
payment.
