Access to Information (“the Code”) to this Department on 4.10.2021 and our
interim replies to you on 14.10.2021 and 22.10.2021.

The relevant statistical figures are tabulated as below:-

The average daily detainee population per month from 28 May 2021 to 30 Sep
2021 at Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution (“TGCI”)

Sep 2021 at TGCI

However, we do not maintain the following statistical figures:-

The population of detainees as at the end of each month from May 2021 to
Sep 2021 at TGCI disaggregated by:-

* Country of origin;
* Non-refoulement claimants;
* Foreign domestic worker; and
* Sex workers

The number of detainees admitted and released per month at TGCI;

The total number of detainees admitted and released as at the end of Sep
2021 at TGCI;
The total number of detainees admitted and released as at the end of Sep
2021 at TGCI disaggregated by:-


* Country of origin;
* Non-refoulement claimants;
* Foreign domestic worker; and
* Sex workers

The average daily cost per detainee at TGCI during the period between 28
May 2021 and 30 Sep 2021; and
The average daily cost per detainee per month at TGCI during the period
between 28 May 2021 and 30 Sep 2021.

Pursuant to paragraph 1.14 and 2.9(d) of the Code, we are unable to
provide the relevant information as requested.

You may also wish to note that, pursuant to paragraph 1.25 of the Code,
any person who believes that a department has failed to comply with any
provision of the Code may ask the department to review the situation.
Furthermore, pursuant to paragraph 1.26 of the Code, any person who
believes that a department has failed to properly apply any provision of
