Dear Miss Tsang,

I refer to your request for Access to Information on 20 August 2020.  In
consultation with the Immigration Department, the information is provided
as below, please.

As at 31 August 2020, there were around 13 000 non-refoulement claimants
in Hong Kong.  Amongst which, 265 outstanding non-refoulement claims were
pending determination by the Immigration Department, out of which 36
claimants were aged below 18.  Their nationalities are mainly Filipino
(27%), Togolese (14%), Indonesian (11%), Indian (8%) and Vietnamese (8%).
 

Separately, there were around 900 non-refoulement claimants or former
claimants under the age of 18 in Hong Kong, who were pending determination
of the appeal on their rejected claims, judicial reviews or removal from
Hong Kong.

Kindly note that further breakdown as requested is not available.
