Dear Food and Environmental Hygiene Department,

Regarding my request of " Record of complaints against restaurants", yet so far there is no response from the Buildings Department.

According to the Code of Access to Information, the authority should normally have responded promptly, "Where possible, information will be made available within ten days of receipt of a written request. If that is
not possible, the applicant will be so advised by an interim reply within ten days of receipt of the request."

                I refer to your request made under the Code on Access to
Information ("the Code") received on 22 January 2018 and your separate
email received on 30 January 2018, as well as our interim replies on 31
January and 9 February 2018. You requested for the following particulars
related to complaints and enforcement against restaurants in 2012 to 2017:

* date of the incident;
* name of the restaurants;
* address of the restaurants;
* types of the restaurants;
* detail of the complaints; and
* actions taken by the authority.

                Having regard to Para. 1.14 of the Code, the comprehensive
information that you requested does not exist in our record system. As an
alternative, we hoped the following information relevant to the request
can to a certain extent meet your requirement:

(Note 2).
