I refer to your email of 5 July 2023 seeking access to the following
information in relation to the Child Sexual Abuse Cases Statistics 2022 of
the Social Welfare Department (SWD):-

 

(1)     Number of Child Protection Case (CPC) by Type of Sexual Abuse;

(2)     Number of Sexual Abuse Case by Nature of the Incident e.g.

i. Established child abuse case

ii. At risk of child abuse

iii. Potentially at risk of child abuse

iv. Suspected victim of child abuse; and

(3)  The number of referrals made by the Social Welfare Department (SWD)
for those NRCs that were substantiated and to whom the referral was made
(for example, if a referral was made to the Hong Kong Police Force,
Hospital Authority and/or another department within the SWD).

Though the caseworkers would refer their clients for different services as
appropriate, the number of referrals has not been captured in SWD.

Dear Social Welfare Department,

Thank you for your annual CPR report.  Can you please help provide some
breakdowns of the data:

(1) Number of Child Protection Case (CPC) by Type of Sexual Abuse
(2) Number of Sexual Abuse Case by Nature of the Incident e.g.
  i. Established child abuse case
  ii. At risk of child abuse
  iii. Potentially at risk of child abuse
  iv. Suspected victim of child abuse
(3) The number of referrals made by the Social Welfare Department (SWD)

                             i.     type of abuse: Of the "Other Forms of
sexual activity" how many involved immediate family or relatives?

 

2.           Please find our reply below-

 

SWD does not collect the specification of "other forms of sexual activity"
in the Child Protection Registry Data Input Form and we do not have the
information on the number of immediate family or relative being involved
in the "other forms of sexual activity”.
