Please can you provide a yearly breakdown from 2014 to 2023 on the statistics for:

(1) the amount of humanitarian assistance given to non-refoulement claimants and the amount of humanitarian assistance given to non-refoulement claimants under the age of 18.

(2) the number of claimants under the age of 18 who have received humanitarian assistance.

(3) the amount of applications for medical waivers the Social Welfare Department recieved from USM claimants.
(3.1) the amount of applications for medical waivers the Social Welfare Department recieved from USM claimants under the age of 18.

(4) the amount of applications for medical waivers from USM caliamants rejected in total and for claimants under the age of 18.
(4.1) the amount of applications for medical waivers from USM caliamants rejected in total and for claimants under the age of 18 in non-emergency situations.

(4) the amount of humanitarian assistance given to non-refoulement claimants under the age of 18 to contribute to school fees.

2.                  Subsequent to our interim reply to you dated 19
October 2023, please find our reply below.

 

Item (1) above

 

The expenditure incurred by Social Welfare Department (SWD) on providing
humanitarian assistance for non-refolulement claimants (NRCs) through
commissioning the International Social Service Hong Kong Branch from 2014
to 2023 is set out below.  SWD dose not have the breakdown figures of
expenditure for NRCs under the age of 18.
