^#Remarks:
On 31 July 2021, there were 178 detainees at the Castle Peak Bay
Immigration Centre ("CIC") who had lodged non-refoulement claims.  Amongst
them, 68 were pending final determination of their claims, while the
remaining 110 were pending removal from Hong Kong, including those who
were rejected non-refoulement claimants having lodged applications for
judicial review to the courts and the removal arrangements were suspended
under the prevailing policy.  The number of claimants under detention
varies from time to time, depending on the changes in the circumstances of
individual cases.

non-refoulement claims. Amongst them, 66 were pending final determination
of their claims, while the remaining 140 were pending removal from Hong
Kong, including those who were rejected non-refoulement claimants having
lodged applications for judicial review to the courts and the removal
arrangements were suspended under the prevailing policy. The number of
claimants under detention varies from time to time, depending on the
