Feedback statistics of DATA.GOV.HK between 2016-202
Dear Innovation and Technology Bureau Office of the Government Chief Information Officer,
To carry out a study about open data development in Hong Kong, I request the following feedback statistics of DATA.GOV.HK.
1. The breakdown numbers of feedback submissions to each data provider and type (Existing dataset / New dataset) per year in 2016-2022 thru https://data.gov.hk/en/feedback. Eg. no. of feedback about existing dataset provided by OGCIO.
2. For existing datasets, how much feedback is responded to by each data provider? Please also provide a breakdown.
2a. Number of valid and invalid feedbacks for new & existing datasets?
2b. Number of feedback responses by the data provider. Please break down into different response types: eg. the number of new datasets created, the existing datasets updated, and the number of feedbacks which submitters received any updates/follow-up communications from data providers.
2c. Number of successfully completed valid feedback, valid feedback not fixed & marked as completed, and valid feedback with ongoing processes.
For items 1 & 2, please list them in the following format/columns.

Dear Mr. Fung,
Thank you for your email dated 7 May 2023 requesting for information about
feedback submissions on DATA.GOV.HK.
You may want to note that the DATA.GOV.HK portal was revamped in December
2017. The feedback form function has been newly introduced since then and
hence feedback statistics has only been collected since 2018. The numbers
of feedback submissions with breakdown by data providers and types of
feedback (Invalid / Existing dataset / New dataset) per year in 2018-2022
are provided in the attached file. Please kindly note that all valid
feedback cases were handled by respective data providers and replies were
made to the enquirers accordingly. Although our team keeps record of the
progress of feedbacks, we do not have the classification of the
responses. According to our record, all feedbacks submitted before 2022
were handled by data providers and 52 cases submitted in 2022 are in
progress. Please also note that we may not have timely status updates
from the data providers and therefore there may be time lag on the related
information.
