Dear Immigration Department,

Can you provide the following data from 2014 to the present date, with regards to individuals who have raised non-refoulement claims in Hong Kong: [broken down in to each respective year]

(i) The total number of individuals who raised claims within each respective year;
(ii) The number of individual claimants which received a Decision on their claim;
(iii) Of those at (ii), those which were:
(a) Granted/Substantiated by the Immigration Department;
(b) Refused by the Immigration Department.
(c) Otherwise withdrew their claims (as at any stage).
(d) Remain Pending.

(iv) The total number of individuals who lodged appeals within each respective year;
(v) The number of Individuals who received a Decision from the TCAB/NRCPO;
(vi) Of those at (v), the number of appeals/claimants that were:
(a) Granted/Substantiated by the Torture Claims Appeal Board/Non-refoulement Claims Petition Office (TCAB/NRCPO);
(b) Refused/Dismissed by the TCAB/NRCPO;
(c) Remain Pending.
