I am a student in GCAP 3226 at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU). Our project examines whether Hong Kong’s municipal solid waste incineration capacity and facilities are appropriately planned and distributed. I request access to:

Waste Generation & Processing Volumes: The volume of municipal solid waste generated, collected, and processed, broken down by district (or landfill/transfer station catchment area), for the most recent year available.

Geographic Breakdown: If district-level waste generation or processing data is not available, the smallest available geographic or administrative breakdown, along with the reasons district-level data is withheld or not collected.

Planning & Siting Criteria: Any internal methodology, environmental assessment guidelines, or planning criteria used to determine the location, capacity, and distribution of waste incineration facilities (e.g., I·PARK 1 at Shek Kwu Chau, I·PARK 2 in Tsang Tsui) across Hong Kong.
