We request the following statistical information for 2023-24 broken down by each data point:
1) The number of newly reported child sexual abuse (“CSA”) cases
2) The sex and age of the victim
3) The sex and age of the perpetrator
4) The relationship between the victim and the perpetrator
5) The number of arrests made by the Hong Kong Police Force arising out of the newly reported CSA cases including the relevant Ordinance and section under which the arrest was made including but not limited to the following:
a) Crimes Ordinance (Cap 200)
i) Section 47 incest by men
ii) Section 48 Incest by women of or over 16
iii) Section 118 Rape
iv) Section 118A Non-consensual buggery

6) The number of those arrests that resulted in charges being laid vs. released.
7) Sometimes a charge is laid for Extortion or Loitering when there is no more relevant ordinance available in a child sexual abuse case - Are there any statistics where a report was made which contained an element of child sexual abuse, but the crime was charged under another ordinance instead?

Dear Hong Kong Police Force Crime Wing,
Thanks very much for your data.
We would still like to have the 2023 & 2024 data for the following.
3) The sex and age of the perpetrator [prefer if it is mapped to nature of case e.g. 2023 Rape 20 30-45 yr old Males]
6) The number of those arrests that resulted in charges being laid vs. released. [e.g. 2024 50 Rape charges, 30 releases]
5) The number of arrests made by the Hong Kong Police Force arising out of the newly reported CSA cases including the relevant Ordinance and section under which the arrest was made including but not limited to the following...[e.g. the nature of the charges]
7) Sometimes a charge is laid for Extortion or Loitering when there is no more relevant ordinance available in a child sexual abuse case - Are there any statistics where a report was made which contained an element of child sexual abuse, but the crime was charged under another ordinance instead?
