The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Health,

Can you please advise how Covid 19 Delta Variant Symptoms in Patients Are Different to Regular Covid 19? Are you able to provide data on a spreadsheet or similar showing the symptoms for 'regular' Covid 19 and the symptoms experienced by patients suffering from the "Delta Variant", If this is not available in quantitative format, perhaps I can be provided with qualititative observations?

Thanks very much

Yours faithfully,

Allyson van de Pol

Dear Mrs Van de Pol,

Thank you for your Application for Access to Information, which the
Department of Health transferred to the Hospital Authority on 18 October
2021 for handling.

For the requested information, please find attached “Interim
Recommendation on Clinical Management of Adult Cases with Coronavirus
Disease 2019 (COVID-19)” and “Interim Recommendation on Clinical
Management of Paediatric Patients of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Infection” for reference.   The two documents are prepared solely for use
by healthcare workers in the Hospital Authority.

Please also note that different available treatment regimens in the two
documents are determined based on evidence extrapolated from research
performed for other coronaviruses, expert opinion, non-randomised placebo
controlled trials, case series and limited randomised placebo controlled
trials on treatment of COVID-19, as well as the availability of
therapeutics in Hong Kong. The documents serve as an interim guidance and
will be updated according to the availability of new evidence or drug
availability.

If you have any questions about this reply, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Sandy Chu(Miss)
