Dear Mr/Ms Ho,
I refer to your application dated 24.9.2020. Our reply to your request is
as follows.
The Transport Planning and Design Manual (TPDM) is primarily a working
document for the use of staff of the Transport Department in planning and
design of transport infrastructure in Hong Kong.
You may access it at the Hong Kong Central Library or libraries of local
universities including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University
of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the Hong Kong
University of Science and Technology and the City University of Hong Kong;
or alternatively you may acquire a softcopy of the TPDM in the form of a
CD-ROM ONLY with a cost of HK$115 by placing an order to the Transport
Department. Please note that the TPDM may be updated from time to time
and the aforementioned CD-ROM containing the whole TPDM is an uncontrolled
copy. As such, you will not be informed proactively about any further
updating or revisions after your acquisition.
If you would like to order the TPDM, you may send the application with
your full name, address and email address (if any) to the following
office. Upon receipt of your application, we will send a payment slip by
email to you. Please pay according to the payment instructions on the
back of the payment slip. Upon receipt of the payment, we will post the
CD-ROM to you.
