Burkinis at LCSD Swimming Pools and Beaches

Agnes Yip made this Freedom of Information request to Leisure and Cultural Services Department

The request was successful.

Dear Leisure and Cultural Services Department,

I would like to ask whether women can wear burkinis at LCSD swimming pools and beaches. On your website, it says that swimmers can put on a clean white t-shirt. Burkinis are not always white, and for religious reasons come with a pair of pants. Are they considered "proper and clean" swimwear, as stated on your website? http://www.lcsd.gov.hk/en/beach/atten-ge...

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Agnes Yip
