Also, among the 8 non-refoulement claims that were substantiated in quarter 4, 2017, how many were substantiated by the TCAB?

number of appeals/petitions (“appeals”) handled by the Torture Claims
Appeal Board/Non-refoulement Claims Petition Office in quarter 4 of 2017.

(a)        Number of appeals received :  1 158
(b)        Number of appeals concluded:  916
(c)        Number of appeals allowed:  9 (including 7 appeals against
decisions of the Immigration Department rejecting a non-refoulement claim)
