香港特別行政區（特區）政府在特區成立日（即1997年7月1日）後採用了本身的授勳
及嘉獎制度，以表揚為香港作出卓越貢獻，或致力服務香港社區和公眾而成績斐然，
或在所屬範疇出類拔萃的人士。此外，政府亦頒授英勇勳章，對個別英勇人士給予嘉
許。在香港以外地區作出的貢獻，如理據充分，亦會予以表彰。有關授勳及嘉獎制度
