I refer to your application for access to information under the Code on
Access to Information (“the Code”) to this Department on 4.7.2023 and our
interim replies to you on 13.7.2023 and 24.7.2023.

The average daily population of detainees at Nei Kwu Correctional
Institution in June 2023 is 18.

As regards the requested information specified in para. (A)(i) and para.
(B)(i) of your email, please be informed that we do not maintain the
statistical information disaggregated by nationality.  Compiling the
requested information would require diversion of resources, having regard
to the parameters of the request.  Pursuant to paragraph 1.14 and 2.9(d)
of the Code, your request could not be acceded to.

Concerning the requested information specified in para. (A)(ii) and para.
(B)(ii) of your email, please be informed that such information does not
exist.  Your request could not be acceded to pursuant to paragraph 1.14 of
the Code.

You may also wish to note that, pursuant to paragraph 1.25 of the Code,
any person who believes that a department has failed to comply with any
provision of the Code may ask the department to review the situation.
 Furthermore, pursuant to paragraph 1.26 of the Code, any person who
believes that a department has failed to properly apply any provision of
