Dear Immigration Department,

I would like to obtain the number of declined and successful immigration cases in Hong Kong aggregated by year and original nationality since the handover of Hong Kong in 1997. Data on the categories of these cases (or the reasons for applying for immigration to Hong Kong) would be very helpful as well!

Yours faithfully,

Ellen He

Dear Immigration Department,

Thank you for the effort and the detailed reply!

Do you have any information on the number of declined immigration cases each year from 2007 to 2016?

As for the statistics from 1997 to 2007 (declined and successful immigration cases in Hong Kong aggregated by year, original nationality and immigration categories), are they available as well?

Yours faithfully,

Ellen He
