ShapeFile of Drainage Pipe
Dear Drainage Services Department,
I am writing this to ask for ShapeFile of drainage pipeline. I am a student at HKUST conducting project related to Hong Kong drainage system. I would like to know if you can provide the ShapeFile of all the pipeline or some main drainage pipes. If it's not possible, may I know if there's another way to access the data?

As we have already provided the drainage records in Hong Kong Open Data
([1]https://data.gov.hk), please if it is necessary to provide the same
set of data in Shapefile to you. Kindly contact me if you have any

2. To facilitate colleagues retrieving reference materials in handling
cases under the Code, the following documents have been uploaded onto the

3. And for your information, photocopies of our records should be charged
at the rates specified below:
Photocopying black and white HK$1.30 per page (for A4 size),
on A3 and A4 size paper HK$1.50 per page (for A3 size) ; AND
HK$7.3 as searching cost per sheet of
drawing/plan (charged by Drawing Office)
Large format photocopy black $76.00 per copy (including searching fee)
and white on 841mm x 1000mm
or smaller paper
Note :
(i) Reproduction of documents should be charged at HK$1.30 per page (for
A4 size)/HK$1.50 per page (for A3 size) if the process is similar to
photocopying e.g. fax, scanning regardless of whether the required
documents are obtained by the applicants in person or by their
representatives, or sent by post, by fax or despatched by any other means
[by e-mail] (vide Q22 of [3]FAQ).
(ii) Personal data including signature, name, post, personal tel. no. &
fax no. etc. on the document should be erased before release except when
consent from the data subject is obtained.
(iii) Consent of release on sensitive information from contractor should
be obtained beforehand. Usually, content or pages involving cost details
need to be erased. Confirm with the applicant whether he/she really
requests such information. Paras. 2.14 of the Code "Third Party
Information", 2.16 "Business Affairs" & sometimes 2.9(a) "Management and
Operation of the Public Service" may be quoted, as appropriate, as reason
for refusal to requests for data/ information in contract (vide the
[4]Code or [5]Guidelines on Interpretation and Application).
(iv) Release of partially erased document should be endorsed by subject AD
(vide paras. 15-16 & 19 of [6]DSD Admin Circular No. 2/2015 - Code on
Access to Information).
4. As required by CMAB, we should provide details of request which is met
because the public interest in disclosure of the information outweighs any
harm or prejudice that could result (i.e. the request where B/Ds has
considered to withhold the information in full or in part by relying on
the exemption provision(s) under Part 2 of the Code but it is eventually
decided that the information requested should be provided to the applicant
because the public interest in disclosure outweighs any harm or prejudice
that could result). If this application falls within this category, please
let us know and provide details on why it is considered that there is an
overwhelming public interest to justify disclosure.
